Do you need an apostille on your Petition for Name Change?
At International Apostille, we take the guesswork out of authenticating your District Court Petition for Name Change through the Justice Department and the US Department of State in Washington DC. Our trained and knowledgeable staff are available Monday – Saturday from 8am to 7pm to answer your questions and provide you easy to follow step-by-step instructions.
A Petition for Name Change issued from the local District Court (Federal Court) must be an original certified copy signed and stamped by the Deputy Clerk and the Clerk of the District Court. This document should also include two embossments (one for each signature). We have provided an example below for review.
If you do not have an original signed copy, please contact the local District Court and speak with the Deputy Clerk for instructions.
Apostilles can be complicated. Don’t leave this process to untrained employees or non-professionals who do not fully understand the Apostille process and the unique requirements of certain countries. Your paperwork could be rejected costing you time and money. Don’t let this happen to you!
